The Etiquette of proper recitation of Qur'an

The Etiquette of proper recitation of Qur'an

http://www.readwithtajweed.com/tajweed_Etiquette.htm

Allah () only accepts deeds that are correct and sincere. A sincere deed is one done for Allah () alone and a correct deed is one done according to the rules of Sharia' (Islamic law). Therefore a reader should follow certain principles when reciting. The most important rules are as follows:

1. The reader to be free of that which breaks a minor ritual ablution (wudu) and to be free of that which breaks a major ritual ablution (ghusl). (The reader should be in a state of ritual purity).

2. The place (in which he reads) should be legally pure (tahar)

3. The reader should begin with ta'wwuth ﺗَﻌَﻮّذ (seeking refuge in Allah from Shaitaan), be it at the beginning of the surah or the middle. This is according to Allah's () words:

'So when you recite the Quran, seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the expelled.'

(Surah Nahl ; 16:98)

4. The reader should say ﴾ ﴿ at the beginning of each surah, except surah Tauba.

5. The reader should read with spiritual openness (khushu) out of respect for the Qur'an. Allah () says:

'If We had sent down this Qur'an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and breaking down from fear of Allah...'

(Surah Al-Hashr ; 59:21)

6. The reader should read with thoughtfulness, reflecting about the meaning of what one reads

'Then do they not reflect on the Qur'an...'

(Surah Muhammad ; 47:24)

7. The reader should beautify his/her voice during reading - without pretence. Bara' ibn Azb said: 'the Messenger of Allah () said:

"Beautify the Qur'an with your voices" (1).

And from Abu Harayra (RA):

"He is not of us, he who doesn't recite the Qur'an in a melodious voice." (2)

The purpose of beautifying one's voice is to facilitate the understanding of the meaning and to move anyone that might hear it and to appreciate the beauty of the style and words. Reciting it melodiously to entertain (as a song would) is haraam (forbidden). A truly beautiful and melodious recital is that which depends on correct pronunciation and perfect application of the tajweed rules.

8. It is required of anyone who hears the Qur'an recited whether from a reader (Qari) or a radio/television/computer or other source, to listen and think about the verses. As Allah () has said:

'so when the Qur'an is read, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy"

(Surah Al-A'raf ; 7:204)

9. The reader should read the Qur'an using tajweed and recite it in the best way.

10. The reader should hold back the urge to yawn during reading until it is gone.

11. The reader should attest to the truth of Allah's words and witness to the call and testament of the Prophet ().

12. The reader should avoid interrupting a recitation for the purpose of talking to people, except when necessary.

13. The reader should ask Allah () for His bounty at a verse of mercy and to seek refuge with Allah () at verses of warning.

kitab Bidayatul Hidayah

Ketika membasuh muka,"Ya Allah!

Membasuh tangan kanan," Ya Allah!

Membasuh tangan kiri,"Ya Allah!

Ketika menyapu kepala,"Ya Allah!

Ketika menyapu telinga,"Ya Allah!

Membasuh kaki kanan,"Ya Allah! Tetapkanlah kedua kakiku di atas titian Siratul Mustaqim bersama kaki -kaki hambaMu yang soleh."

Membasuh kaki kiri," Ya Allah!

Day Of Judgement

Major Signs before the Day of Judgement

All praises is due to Allah. We praise Him, ask him, and seek his forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from evils of ourselves and mischiefs of our deeds. Whomsoever Allah guides, cannot be misguided. Peace and blessings be upon the Final Messenger MuhammedPeace and blessings be upon him, on his family and his noble companions , Ameen

Belief in Doomsday is one of the fundamentals and pillars of faith. It is the day when everyone is to get recompense and punishment for one's work and has to go to heaven or hell according to one's deeds. This is the reason each and every Prophet warned his people of the Day of Judgement.

As for the knowledge of the time of Qiyamah (End of the World) , it has not been given to any angel or Prophet. Nobody besides Allah knows when the final hour is.
The Quran states, O Prophet the infidels ask you about the time of Qiyamah. So tell them that it's knowledge is with Allah only. (Surah Luqman)

However certain events are going to take place prior to the coming of the final hour. These events are known as the Signs of Qiyamah. All the Prophets informed their people of the signs of the final hour. Our Prophet Muhammed Peace and blessings be upon him being the last and the seal of Prophets, knowing that Doomsday is to come upon this very ummah, explained clearly and in considerable detail the signs of the final hour to the extent that sometimes he Peace and blessings be upon him would lecture his companions all day on this subject.
Abu Zaid (R.A.)May Allah be pleased with him says, 'The Holy Prophet Peace and blessings be upon him sat down on the pulpit after Fajar Prayer and began a deliver a long sermon until the time for Zohr prayer came. After saying the Zohr prayer he Peace and blessings be upon him again sat on the pulpit and began the sermon, which continued till Asr prayer. After the Asr prayer he Peace and blessings be upon him resumed the sermon so much so that the sun set. he Peace and blessings be upon him related whatever happened in the past and also related in detail whatever is to happen in the future. Those amongst us who had good memories retained many things.' (Muslim)

al-Zalzalah, Al Bayyinah, Al Qadr

Surah Al Qadr (97th Surah)

The subject matter is the mystic Night of Power (or Honor), in which Revelation comes down to a benighted world--it may be to the wonderful Cosmos of an individual--and transforms the conflict of wrongdoing into Peace and Harmony--through the agency of the angelic host, representing the spiritual powers of the Mercy of God.

By God's Command [97:1-5] Blessed indeed is the Night of Power!--when the Mercy of God's Revelation breaks through the darkness of the human soul! All the Powers, of the world divine, speed on their mystic Message of Mercy, by God's command, and bless every nook and corner of the heart! All jars are stilled in the reign supreme of Peace, until this mortal night gives place to the glorious day of an immortal world!

At-Takathur, Al Qariah, Adiyat

Surah Adiyat with English translation.

The surah begins with the imagery of raiders on horseback, who come to take what is not theirs rightfully. The Qur'an gives a picture of greedy men that would be quite familiar to the Arab peoples of his day: that of the invading army in search of money. It can be understood even now that such a hoard is an ideal example of worldliness and shirk - in Islam, the great sins against God. The image is of people who are willing to hurt their fellow man over objects and lust.

The Qur'an continues, that mankind is evidence against himself of these sins. On the Last Day, "when that which is in the tombs is overthrown and that which is in the breasts in brought out," people will be judged accordingly by what their hearts intended in life. The Qur'an concludes this sura with the reminder that as men are fully aware of what they are doing and why, God is even more aware.

Surah Adiyat - Mishary Rashid Al-Afasy

101 SURA AL QARIAH

Surah al- Qariah describes Judgment Day as the Day of Clamor, when men will be distracted and the landmarks of this world will be lost, but every deed will be weighed in a just balance, and find its real value and setting.

Balance of Justice [101:1-11] How will the senses of man stand the Noise and Clamor of the great Day of Account, whereon this life's old landmarks will vanish, and men will be helpless like scattered moths? Nay, but a Balance of Justice will weigh and appraise all Deeds; and those whose good will show substance and weight will achieve a Life of good pleasure and satisfaction, while those whose good will be light will find themselves, alas, in a blazing Pit of Punishment.

Surat Al Asr (103) - Abdul Rahman Al Sudais

Recitation by Mishary ibn Rachid Al-Afasy

====================================================================

Surah Al-Humaza (Arabic: سورة الهمزة ) is the 104th sura of the Qur'an.

It was revealed regarding Akhnas ibn Shariq.

It condemns those who slander others, whether by speech or action, and imagine that their own wealth will keep them immune from death, and describes, in brief yet evocative phrases, the doom of Hell which awaits them.

according to Ibn Kathir, Muhammad bin Ka`b said that "it (the Fire) will devour every part of his body until it reaches his heart and comes to the level of his throat, then it will return to his body." The "columns" described in the final verse are interpreted as columns of fire by some authorities, as in the translation below, but as literal pillars of iron by some others.

====================================================================

Surat al-Fil (Arabic: سورة الفيل ) It describes the incidents of the Year of the Elephant, the year when Muhammad was born.

It forms a pair with the following sura, Quraish, reminding the Quraysh tribe who dominated Mecca of the favors that Allah had bestowed on them; indeed, it is said that in Uthman's copy of the Qur'an they were written together as a single sura. The Kaaba was central to the life of Quraish, being a center of pilgrimage which brought much trade and prestige; Surat al-Fil describes how God saved the Kaaba from destruction.

This Surah discusses how the people of the elephant were destroyed, because of their plotting against the Ka'ba. Allah sent birds against these people, and these birds destroyed the people and the elephants they had brought for their task. These birds threw many, many stones of baked clay at the elephants and the people, which led to their stoppage. This story emphasizes the power of Allah against which no plot can win.

Surat Al-Fil(The Elephant)

Surah Al Fil-Sheikh Mishary Rashid Al Afasy

Surah al Kauthar,al Maun (Alms Giving),Quraysh

Surat Quraysh (Arabic: سورة قريش‎) (after the tribe of Quraysh) is the 106th chapter of the Qur'an. It is a Makkan sura consisting of 4 ayat. It urges the Quraysh tribe who dominated Mecca to serve Allah, who had protected them, for the sake of their own future.

It forms a pair with the preceding sura, al-Fil, reminding the Quraysh of the favors that God had bestowed on them; indeed, it is said that in Ubayy ibn Ka'b's copy of the Quran they were written together as a single sura. The Kaaba was central to the life of Quraish, being a center of pilgrimage which brought much trade and prestige; Surat al-Fil describes how God saved the Kaaba from destruction, while surat Quraish describes God as Lord of that Kaaba and urges Quraish to worship Him so that, among other things, He should protect them on their trading journeys.

The 108th chapter of the Qur'an, Surah al Kauthar, recited by sheikh Mishary Rashed Alafasy.

ubat malas

==========================================================

"Kamu malas nak belajar, ubatnya satu sahaja.

Saya melihat mereka tersenyum sinis. Segala perbualan telah terhenti, apabila saya bersuara.

"Katakan lagi, 'Allah tolonglah saya.

Hahaahaaaa.. satu perubahan paradigma. Terkejut mereka.
Hari-hari cikgu menyatakan bahawa usaha tangga kejayaan.
Tetapi jarang cikgu menunjukkan bagaimana mahu menjadi rajin.
Malaslah nak usaha lagi!"
"Cikgu kata mesti siapkan kerja sekolah tetapi saya malas nak buat. Saya lebih gemar menonton TV. Tonton Tv lagi seronok. Lagipun saya dah biasa dimarahi cikgu, kena sekali lagi biasalah.."
"Peperiksaan SPM masih lama lagi. Saya nak enjoy dulu. Sebulan sebelum periksa, barulah nak studi betul-betul.."
