Quran Memorization Competition

Few hadiths concerning the excellence of reciting the Quran

Aishah r.a reported: The Messenger of Allah SAW said, "The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Quran will be with the honourable and obedient scribes (angels) and he who recites the Quran and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have a double reward". (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Uthman bin Affan r.a. reported: The Messenger of Allah SAW said, "The best amongst you is the one who learns the Quran and teaches it". (Al-Bukhari)

Ibn Abbas r.a. reported: The Messenger of Allah SAW said, "He who does not memorize any part from the Quran he is like the ruined house".

Abu Hurairah r.a. reported: The Messenger of Allah SAW said, " Allah makes the way to Jannah easy for him who treads the path in search of knowledge." [Muslim]

Abu Hurairah r.a. reported: The Messenger of Allah SAW said, "The world, with all that it contains, is accursed except for the remembrance of Allah that which pleases Allah; and the religious scholars and seekers of knowledge." [At-Tirmidhi]
